This week in 4K we...

• started the letter Ff and continued with the number 2.
• started our short unit on Fire Safety. 
• made a fire truck. We also saw a ladder truck. Some firemen from the Mequon Fire Department came to school to talk to us about fire safety and brought their truck. They even put the ladder up 100 feet.
• talked about having an escape plan at home in case of a fire. Please talk to your child about the plan and practice like there is a real fire. Also, talk about a meeting place once they are outside.
• enjoyed having grandparents come and visit our classroom.
• continued with patterns.

Next week we will...

• continue practicing the letter Ff
• practice the number 3.
• finish our Fire Safety unit and start our Fall/Halloween unit.
• have Book Cooks on Friday.

On October 31 the children will come to school in their costume. We will have a parade around the school. After the parade the children will change out of their costume. Please feel free to help your child change into their uniform. You can then take their costume home.

IMPORTANT DATE:

On November 22 we will be having our Family/Thanksgiving celebration from 9:30-10:30. Moms and dads are invited to join their child for a craft activity and a snack.
